Owner Nelli and her staff were so welcoming! We had a fantastic dinner. If you are unsure what to order just tell them how hungry you are and you will get a choice of superb Armenian dishes. Rooms have a stunning view either on the canyon or the monastery. Very clean, good heating.

we stayed for one night at the haghpat hotel, perfect location right at the foot of the haghpat monastery. the hotel is very simple, it has clean rooms overlooking the monastery. a family management welcomed us Mary the very kind owner who speaks excellent English. we hav an Armenian dinner outside look ing Monastery,with local products from meat to vegetables with multiple courses and a special yogurt that looked like cream, all concluded with a fruit plate melon apricot peach! All accompanied by the kindness and attention of Mary who made you taste her jams and delicious honey which we also bought! but the highlight of the evening was a small flute concert played by Mary's husband inside the monastery church in an incredible atmosphere of harmonious sounds! The friendliness and family atmosphere of this hotel allowed us to spend a day in an enchanting place!

The place is awesome, not just because of location from which you can get to main monasteries in Debed canyon, the rooms and so on, but most importantly because of the host, Irina. Very professional and carying. We felt so welcomed, had a great breakfast and received a lot of local tips of what else can be visited in the area. Room was warm in mid december, for those who worry :). There are rooms with great view on the canyon.

Cool place, crazy nature. Homemade products, ecological, real. Comfortable room, the room has everything you need. The hosts are hospitable and ready to help with everything. Amazing place to stay. The guesthouse is next to the family home of the hosts. The family is very welcoming, friendly and open to give advice on what to do in the area. English is not a problem. They brought fresh and tasty breakfast to us every morning and there is an optional cooked dinner. Comfy beds, kitchen and seating area. The Migoyan museum and Sanahin monastery are next door and the start to some wonderful hikes are nearby. There is a small shop next door. You can also watch the piglets in the neighbour's barn while drinking your morning coffee.

really beautiful location, clean facilities and really friendly staff! it’s about 30min walk from the road but it’s well sign posted so easy to find, really peaceful and a perfect break from the city, we choose to extend which lots of people do ! The food is really delicious, (proper Armenian home-cooking) and great value for money
