Purkersdorf is a small town with a nice town center: good coverage of cafes, restaurants, the supermarket was good and they had a Libro for paper, books and other supplies for a child. Going to the center of town from the property takes 10 minutes on foot on a small street with relatively little traffic and lots of trees. We particularly enjoyed our visit to the Naturpark Purkersdorf that had a very nice playground for children, and enclosures for goats + sheep and donkeys. Also the bridges over the small river are very nice 🥰 Pay attention when going to Vienna, I didn't do the full research to understand the price model, but I noticed that travelling by S-Bahn only, even when changing trains, is about half the price of a travel plan that includes e.g. the tram. With the S-Bahn we paid some 5 EUR for 2 adults + one 2 year old. Very good connectivity from the train station across the road to Wien Westbahnhof.

Rich breakfast, plenty of choice, everything is organic food. You can breakfast outdoor (small open-air terrace in the courtyard). Staff extremely polite. Mid-size grocery shop in front of the hotel (closed on Sundays). Very spacious hotel rooms. Parking in the street in front of the hotel is free of charge on weekends. Underground is not far, just a few streets away.
