It is a beautiful place. The weather could not ruin the impression on arrival. Room was very cosy and comfortable that we couldn't wake up in the morning. Then had a delicious breakfast done by lovely people who own the place. After had a tour over the castle. A really good dive in to the history. Special thanks to the Mrs. Will be definitely planing my next trip to stay there and go cycling in the area. Many thanks to all the family welcomed us.

A very friendly welcome. Great communication, and very helpful. Modern, high quality and well maintained. Exceptionality clean. Great facilities (a lounge with a full sized bar for guests, and a kitchenette for taking breakfast or making sandwiches and tea or coffee). A very generous breakfast (extra). An extremely comfortable bed in a cozy double bed room with en-suite facilities. All the necessary modern fire safety precautions. Beautiful rural location, but not difficult to find and within easy reach of Gent and other tourist locations, it also felt very safe. Great off road parking. Very good value. The owners who live on site clearly take great pride in their property, and go out if their way to be helpful. Highly recommended!

Steenhuyse is a magnificent hotel in the middle of a tranquil city. I've felt great bedded and had a lot of space. My room was equipped with a big bathtub and a lot of useful furnishings. The stuff was a bit reserved when my check-in took place, but was very friendly. I would recommend to book a room for two as minimum. When you're travelling alone the room is almost overwhelming but has a great appeal. Again any time.

    We booked our stay less than an hour before arriving. Once we found the location we were impressed by the nice old house it is. Arrival information was exchanged via telephone and text/email messages due to the short notice of our arrival. The room was lovely with a huge bed for two and a separate one for our child. The bathroom was tastefully arranged, with plenty of space and even had a freestanding bathtub. Even the throne matched the wash-basins!
