Location was good. Less than 8mins walk from the train station. Hotel is very modern and colourful. There's a wellness Spa facility just opposite it. There are about 4 restaurant and a big shop just round the corner. Hotel breakfast was good. Staff speaks English and they're very friendly. The hotel is very clean and There are great views around. This is undoubtedly the best hotel in St Margarethen.

I loved the friendly staff! The room was very clean, even though the hotel is on the road side it is still quiet in the room. Nice shower. Nice bed to sleep after long tiring day. The breakfast is nice. The food from the menu in the restaurant is just amazing, seasonal, fresh. The local wine that I was suggested was very delicious, loved both red and white. Coffee was also very delicious. Shortly, I would really suggest this hotel. They are 3 stars hotel, but for the atmosphere, food, service and the friendly staff - they are 5 star hotel!

We were two male trekkers needing a twin room while trekking the E5 route. The hotel was exactly what we wanted. The room was very good, breakfast was also very good and we had warm and helpful hosts.

Very good hotel while travelling. It was possible to check-in automatically by just grabbing the key and entering the room. I will book again while travelling from Italy to Germany by car to split the trip in two.

A very charming little castle just above Lake Constance nestle in a beautiful garden, walking distance to the lake. The rooms a spacious and very clean, the bed very comfortable. Don't miss out on the excellent restaurant! The 4 course menu is an absolut must! Modern German kitchen from local produce. Delicious! The service is very friendly and accommodating! Same goes for the breakfast: very friendly service and local breads, marmalades and cheeses.

What a gem! Absolutely fabulous motel, in a lovely little town. Could not be happier with the easy self check-in and out. Communication with Petra was perfect, secure bike storage in the underground garage. Room was very pleasant, modern and clean, with a balcony. As we stayed on a Friday night, no breakfast at restaurants available, however fruit, croissants, tea and coffee were available. There is 2 bakeries not far from the motel and a 20 minute walk lands you in Austria if you would like to source dinner there (we did and it was great). Highly recommend this motel as somewhere for bike tourers - very bike friendly

Unfortunately we’ve spent only one night here, but now it’s my dream to spend holidays in Hirschen Wald. Everything was perfect- hostess, nature, comfort, food! The room was bright and comfortable with awesome view from the windows. The breakfast was substantial and delicious with home made bread. It is quite and pleasant place, not faraway from Sankt Gallen.
