Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She supported our visit in Sumiswald with great tourist information and restaurant recommendations. She took the time to answer all our questions about the history of the castle. Despite being in a castle our stay was exceedingly comfortable. We were happy for the modernization that included an elevator :). Amazing view from our room over the countryside.

    Unique castle setting in gorgeous area, calm and healthy nature surroundings, very nice for families with young children. Nearby farm animals and sounds of cow bells in the morning and distant historic train 2 times per day. Hiking and biking region. Recommend traveling there by car. Approx. 25 mins to Bern.
