We discovered the hotel by chance, and it turns out it was such a gem. The room was so comfortable and cozy, clean and pretty, the hotel was in such a lovely location with a local flavor and in a historical building, which is something rare. I slept on one of the most comfortable beds I slept on in all hotels. The room has floor heating in the winter, which is such comfort. The staff were warm and helpful and welcoming. I'd definitely return and would recommend it to anyone.

Overall my recent stay at Intercontinental Kuming is with absolute satisfactory. Especially I was very happy for the assistance by the Concierge te4am. Mr Smulin was very helpful to me such as buying new air tickets to other city of China and further amendments as well as arrangement for my airport transfer. He was always very active with quick responses, willing to help and did his best. If I was asked, I would give him and his concierge team at Intercontinental Kuming the full score 10 out of 10. I liked that there were many breakfast options and local foods nearby the apartment. It made mornings easy, and I got to try different local flavors without going far. Also, the fact that it's close to the subway station was a big plus, making getting around the city even more convenient.

The rooms are spacious, nice and clean with very comfy beds. Breakfast is excellent with great choice. Staff is nice and at reception there is always at least one English-speaking person. The hotel is a good option if you want to have some relaxing days outside the city center, but without problem to go there (approx. 30 minutes taxi ride). Restaurants can be found directly opposite the hotel or approx. 2 km away at the lakeside.

I loved my stay here, it has been my favorite hotel in a trip all around China. The room was comfortable, and the location was great - just a few minutes' walk from Tangzixiang station on the airport line, and easy walking distance from the lively central dining and shopping area. The breakfast was large and varied, with obvious attention put into providing local specialities. The staff were all kind and helpful, especially the very friendly English-speaking man who works in the breakfast area, who took special care to make sure that I experienced the most interesting dishes.

The hotel is wonderful: great location, spacious de Luxe room with beautiful view. We really enjoyed the evening buffet. The choices of freshly prepared delicacies was breathtaking, be it fish, seafood, Chinese specialties and a great selection of pastries. We also enjoyed the friendly stuff. We will certainly be back.
