Family hotels and homes in Morro

I absolutely adored everything about Barracudamaio. Mona and Christophe have worked so hard to create a beautiful space for an exceptional travel experience. It's very close to a secluded beach where you can relax and have some alone time, as well as see the incredible turtles (with Christophe as your guide). I was taught upon arrival how to take a 'bulea' (free ride) with the locals, so very easy (and safe for solo female travellers) to catch a lift to the next town. The accommodation is exceptional in itself and is well thought out with sustainability in mind and furnished beautifully. They both shared their story over delicious dinners (thank you, Mona) about their journey in building Barracudamaio, and I think it's such a beautiful way to live and to help travellers understand the integrity behind creating a sustainable and welcoming space like theirs. Mona and Christophe are such wonderful people with a lot of life experience, and I am so glad to have had the chance to meet them on my travels. Oh and I love their two dogs, Lulu and Irmã. I am returning for my second stay next week - looking forward to seeing them all again! :)

I really loved the room even do i was alone i had such a space. And if i wanted to know something i always could ask the host. And i really loved that the host had bring me to the ferry with no cost. Really lovely People

Location, food, Quad bike hire, staff and the personal attention of Mirko who is able to communicate in multiple languages, friendly local population ,stunning beaches ⛱️

The hotel is well located, the staff is super nice, the breakfast is good and the rooms are super clean. It was super good holidays and we had a problem to buy the ferry tickets but the receptionist bought it for us, sent them by mail. Without him we couldn't come to Maio and would have a lost the hotel so you can trust them and just relax during your stay. They also have a restaurant and the food is good. The view from the rooftop is amazing and the neighborhood is quiet so it's relaxing.

This place was great! Staff was friendly, room was big and clean (was also cleaned every day), the location was perfect, breakfast was good and served on the balcony overlooking the ocean. Would have stayed longer if I could have (unfortunately we were depending on the ferry to Santiago)
