Absolutely amazing place. Very nice owner. The house is very spacious, clean and comfortbale. Kitchen is well equipped. Location is excellent. If you come by train you just need to climb 1km uphill. Thank you for a great stay.

This hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Königstein Fortress and the River Elbe. The Neue Schänke has a café and beer garden offering scenic views of the Saxon Switzerland region.

Luxurious room overlooking the castle, and a restaurant/ inn feel at the front, where with the other guests we could drink and eat, and enjoy the quiet evenings after all the castle visitors have headed off. Very extensive breakfast buffet in the morning to fuel you for the days adventure. The hotel is also part of the scheme where you get a pass for local buses, trains and ferries. It’s brilliant- absolutely the best way to explore the region and cut down on traffic. Evening BBQ on second night may have been a one-off - it was certainly a great way to end another days walking!

Claudia and Petra responded very quickly to our initial enquiries when booking and went out of their way to make our stay (brief as it was) comfortable and enjoyable. We arrived by bicycle and it was easy to have a secure place for them, and we were able to wash our riding clothes without any fuss. Breakfast was great!

amazing place. wonderful old furniture and chandeliers. well equipped kitched. beautiful gardens. highly recommended. there’s a restaurant “heidekrug” about 20 minute walk if you want to eat out.

Lovely, comfortable appartment. All amenities were excellent. Essentials were provided. We were walking Malerweg so benefited from the travel pass to get us back to the trail. All part of the adventure.
