Rarely have I felt such at home, even though I only stayed one night ! We took a night bus and arrived at 7am, the room wasn’t occupied so we were offered a super early check-in which was super appreciated ! Great breakfast, you feel like in a jungle, by the beach. Gracias por todo Pilar & Oswald !!

I enjoyed my one-night stay at Posada Estrella B&B. I did not go to the nearby beach — I was driving back to Guayaquil and needed a rest stop. I booked it based on other stellar reviews and value. The room was very comfortable, it had a chest of drawers, a small refrigerator, AC, and toiletries. The linens and towels were soft and in excellent condition, and the mattress was good. The guest rooms are on the first and second floors (by a narrow staircase). On the first story, there is a sofa lounge and TV area, and the room I stayed in is on the top floor with a terrace view of the neighborhood. Further away a glimpse of the coast is visible in between buildings (not what I would call a seaside view). The hosts (Ricardo and DJ, and their three doggies) were super friendly, they shared restaurant recommendations, and we spent some time chatting about our travel experiences. The ground floor has a well-maintained medium size pool with gorgeous murals of marine life and rainforest animals. I appreciated that I could keep my rental car inside the small garage. The breakfast was very filling, with delicious fruits and I received some mangoes to take with me. Thanks for the hospitality!
