Hamada was always ready to accommodate our requests. We organised transfer to the airport at 4am in the morning and it went very well. Also the visit to Abu Simbel temple. The island is very peaceful and the Guesthouse super clean and comfortable.

This place was an absolute gem! Located on a serene island, you’re surrounded by lush greenery and breathtaking views of the river. We stayed in a river view room, with a farm right in front of our window. Waking up to the view in the morning was truly a gift. The rooms are a beautiful homage to local Nubian heritage, with charming architectural and design touches that make you feel like you're staying in a traditional Nubian home. Yet, you also have all the comforts of a clean, well maintained air-conditioned room, which was such a perfect balance. The owner goes above and beyond to ensure that guests experience the local culture in an authentic way. It’s perfect for travelers who want to embrace the slow life and connect with the area’s heritage. He was incredibly helpful, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. Even before we arrived, he kept in touch and responded promptly to any questions we had about our booking or itinerary. He even provided us with an incredibly detailed and helpful list of dos and don’ts, along with travel suggestions for Luxor, Cairo, and Aswan! There are many activities and day trips to historical sights provided by the hotel as well, and we always felt like we were in good hands here. As a passionate traveler himself, you can tell he truly cares about giving his guests an unforgettable, authentic experience. One of the highlights of our stay was taking a refreshing dip in the Nile. It was incredibly relaxing, after a busy week full of walking around and traveling. Our favorite part of the stay was meeting the warm and welcoming locals. The owner took us to a local village on another island, where we had the chance to see traditional Nubian houses. The local kids were playing and running around outside, and it was a truly heartwarming experience to interact with them. They also have an adorable dog, Zazu, who will greet you with endless love and affection the moment you arrive! We already miss him so much!!

Everything! It was the most perfect stay. Bibo & his family made us feel right at home, clean & comfortable guesthouse, minutes walk from the beach, safe island to walk around (as two girls), all our breakfasts/dinners were made fresh by Bibos mum. Bibo can organise anything - we got airport transfer, laundry & boat to the Nubian village.

Lovely location right on the Nile and in the center of the lovely Nubian village. Our room was large and spacious and the balcony looking over the Nile was superb. It was so nice to relax there with a coffee and watch the activity.on the river. Samir the manager is very kind and helpful. The first night there was a storm and he prepared food for us to eat in our room. The second night we ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious. Upon arrival we were offered a welcome drink and our Abu Simbel trip was well organised with breakfast to take with us ( and beautiful). Internet at this hotel was the best we had in our entire 14 day stay travelling in Egypt . This is a charming little hotel , beautiful traditional decor, great staff. We would stay again

Staying in island was better than town area.

Super kind host Mohammed who helped us a lot, booking tour to abu simbel, to philae temple and also to Luxor. Also, he provided us the best price. It was such a pleasure to stay here on the elephantine island. Taking a ferry from the bank to here, you can enjoy the beauty of Aswan surrounded by the Nile. Everything was so perfect

We had a wonderful stay. The room was great and the staff extremely kind and helpful in any possible way. We even extended our stay.

Saeed is a generous soul who took immensely good care of me and his beautiful guesthouse rivals a high end hotel. Super clean, gorgeous views, delicious meals cooked by his mom — I was in heaven! The guesthouse has its own boat to take you anywhere in Lake Nasser and Saeed will book cars and tours for you if you want to go anywhere else, including Abu Simbel.

I stayed in several guesthouses during my time on Elaphantine Island and this was the best! Very clean, comfortable room. The guesthouse is owned / run by a family who make you feel really at home. Highly recommend!
