Everything was great! Location, cleanliness (whole hotel smells lovely), staff, bright and soundproof room, spacious bathroom and very comfortable beds. Breakfast was included, basic but good selection. Free hot beverages in the reception. Location very close to great bars with pintxos and very close to the mountains.

What a treat to stay at this amazing place in the quaint village of Garai, just above the larger town of Durango. Staff is incredible (thanks to Olatz for warm welcome and Irune for delicious breakfast and excellent tips on sites in the area!). Rooms are very cozy, we had amazing views of the mountains. The entire hotel is decorated so tastefully. We highly recommend the Herriko restaurant in town, a short stroll from hotel. Garai is an excellent base to explore the Basque region.

Our stay at the other hotel was fantastic. The gentleman at the reception was very kind to welcome us even though we arrived later than the check-in time due to a travel delay. The room itself was stunning, with plenty of space, impeccable cleanliness, and a stunning view. The bathroom was also spacious and elegantly designed. Moreover, the hotel's location was perfect for us as it was only a 2-minute walk away from the sanctuary, making it convenient for us to explore the surrounding areas.
