We visited the Somme and found Battery Farm a perfect Location. Everything was excellent including the breakfast. We will definitely return.

The hotels historic significance. The family who run the hotel are simply brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms, on both occasions we have stayed there, were simply fantastic. Immaculately clean and beautifully furnished in keeping with the building's history. Breakfast was well set out and of excellent quality. We are certainly going back next year en-route to Italy. Thank you to everyone there.

The room was very well-appointed, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. The host, Muriel, was very welcoming and helpful and was happy to tell me some the history of the place, which I found very interesting. It was excellent value for money and I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending the stay to others.

Karen and Bart were very friendly, helpful, humorous and knowledgeable hosts. Genuine interest in the story of my Great Uncle, missing in action on the first day of the Battle of the Somme 1916. I learnt a lot on my brief visit and remain grateful, a lot more than just a place to stay.

Outstanding gîte in the village of Combles. It's located next to the house where the owners live, very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. Actually, we were suprised by the size and comfort provided. The contact with the owners was also very relaxed and friendly. We felt welcomed, since our kid was allowed to play with their kids and use some of the toys in the garden. Since we were only on a stopover I can't say anything about the location as a base for activities in the region, but it seemed nice and we would like to come back for a weekend or so.

Location very good for visiting the War sites in the area. Outdoor area at rear of property had seating and also a hot tub,. There was a pool but it was not available during our stay.
