This tucked-away haven of peace was just perfect for us. The stunningly converted modern wooden loft room sits under huge beams/rafters. With one gabled end wall all glassed and sky lights throughout, it is light and yet cosy. The decor is very tasteful, the furniture is exactly what’s needed and it has all mod cons too, including a coffee machine, fridge and induction hob. It looks out over the Normandy countryside and directly onto the paddock where three gorgeous donkeys munch and occasionally say Ee-aw! The beds were comfy and the host is nearby ready to help, quick to communicate, but also gave us privacy. I was allowed to feed carrots to the donkeys, a sweet highlight of our stay! Thanks Judith & Lem for making our beautiful, peaceful, rural idyll so comfortable for us.

I had a pleasure of staying in Casa Dei Cento Scalini last week. It was a beautiful experience. The house is in the perfect location right between the beach and the village. The view is spectacular ! The hostess lady / owner was very welcoming indeed and had drinks and tapas ready for us which was a lovely classy and warm welcoming . It certainly put you in the right mood to enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of Panarea . We had everthing we needed .

Welcoming hosts, very attentive and friendly. Room was spacious with a very comfortable bed (no plastic undersheet thankfully, I find them most uncomfortable). Monsieur recommended a local restaurant which was very traditional and very reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent, crepes made with Calvados, homemade confiture, cheese and fresh bread plus some small cakes somewhat like madeleines (I think they were called called “financiers“). On the morning of our departure we were invited to pick walnuts from the tree in the garden, which we promptly did. Plastic bags were even supplied! When we returned home the walnuts were dried and they were absolutely delicious. Thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Lovely property finished to a high standard in beautiful countryside. The property has everything you need and Andy & Sally are wonderful hosts. Excellent rural location to see the sights of Normandy. Close to small and large towns, Sourdeval is a gem.
