The stay at Battery Valley Farm was excellent. It was a unique experience for us. It is an active farm located not far from the town of Albert. The place offers cozy and pleasant rooms and a breakfast that includes farm-fresh ingredients. We arrived with only one day to visit the monuments and museums dedicated to the Battle of the Somme and were quite confused about how to plan our day. We received a lot of help from Mireille, the owner, who is a great expert in tourism in the area. Mireille presented us with the available options and helped us organize our visit. Absolutely beautiful - very spacious with two rooms - luxurious bathroom - very comfortable bed - table and chairs to eat dinner. We were so well looked after with the very best of French hospitality in a quiet country village close to the WWI memorials - wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful hosts.
