This beautiful auberge was definitely the highlight of our trip. Situated in the most stunning bastide town. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners Sophie and Greg and we had the good fortune to experience wonderful evening meals cooked by Greg. The overall experience was amazing and I would have no hesitation at all in recommending L’Ancienne Auberge to all our friends.

The property sat in spacious stunning grounds surrounded by the most beautiful countryside. Nadine and her Husband were exceptional hosts and made us very welcome during our stay and we wished we had booked longer in an area of France we have now discovered. Breakfast was all homemade and plentiful.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Monclar-de-Quercy, La Forestière is a bed and breakfast surrounded by views of the garden.

Spacious rooms / suites - comfortable, clean and connected to WiFi. Bathroom had large shower. Separate WC. Breakfast sums up Fred & Bridgette's qualities as hosts - home made yoghurt, bread and pastries - choice of delicious jams. Quality coffee, tea, juices. Made to feel very special. Location was excellent - though we had a hire car to get about. Visited beautiful hilltop villages, markets, bars, restaurants. Spent an evening in Albi - pop up communal food and bands. Listen to Fred - he knows all the best local attractions. The dining area is al fresco, great for nature lovers (the hosts 'look after' a couple of cats who live in the surrounding woods and come to say hi now & again). Pool looks brand new, and is clean, comfortable and a good size.
