After a gruelling weekend at Download and a long drive back to Ireland to think about we decided to stay at Harpurs for a night to recoup.. What a great idea that was. The staff were friendly.. The room was perfect and the shower was hot and well needed.. we went downstairs for a bite and a cure. The food was amazing and very well priced (pizza deal cannot be faulted) the complintary pint went down a treat too... we retreated to the room for the rest of the night and had a great sleep on a very comfortable bed. I think we will make a habbit of this going forward. 10/10

This property is absolutely stunning. The owner Jin was so helpful and kind. The house is spacious, clean and has car parking. The beds were so comfortable and the linen and towels were like new! We would stay here in a heartbeat and when in the area again we will be staying here. A perfect country pub both for locals and visitors. Well situated, being in the countryside but not far from major routes and East Midlands Airport. The staff were outstanding, both friendly and efficient. Over the three nights of our stay it was good to see the seamless teamwork that made us feel so very comfortable. The food - both breakfasts, snacks and dinners were all delicious, freshly cooked and not just the same old standards found elsewhere. We will be back on our next trip to see family in the area.
