The Rockfoot B&B was in the heart of the Campsie Dells and centrally located for our trips to Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Sterling, The Devil’s Pulpit, Glasgow and points south and east. Moira was a perfect host and a good cook. As many of our stays we chose this for its remote location away from cities and it is very much a working farm with a very large flock of sheep. Our room was excellent and everything was perfectly clean. Moira took time to answer many of our questions and made us feel at home. This is an excellent place to stay for a Holiday, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily stay here again.

Crannaig House features a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 10 km of Lake of Menteith and 16 km of Loch Katrine.

Crannaig house is so nice and sweet, it was our first day in Scotland and that was perfect start of our trip! I liked the house itself and our room. Everything is extremely clean, new, quality linen, big fluffy towels, soaps, cream and shampoo by Scottish natural Highland Soap company. We also got a sweet present, homemade here in Aberfoyle. Please don’t hesitate to have breakfasts and dinner at Crannaig House, because Shaun is excellent cook and everything was so delicious! Also Shaun gave us some suggestions for our rout. Extremly nice Glamping Pod. You get everything you need in a wonderful decorated and quite new small and cosy cabin. the owener is a wonderful man and extremly helpful. The location is THE perfect start for your walk on the West Highland Way. Located just outside of Milngavie you have easy access to the starting point. If you come by bus, ask the driver to let you get off right at the reception or get a taxi at the train station (where the bus stops too). I can recommend that place warmly to everyone.

The suite was gorgeous. Beautifully presented and very clean. The little fridge with milk and water provided along with bowl of quick grab breakfast options and fresh fruit was a lovely touch. I’d booked short notice and Liz was so accommodating.

Once we value the contact to nature, this was the right choice for those couple of days in Scotland Lowlands. The new dome private accomodation is a real find for those seeking privacy under the stars but still with all the confort of a luxury glamping. The owner Jessica welcomes guests genuinely and says goodbye as friends. The home made breakfast is served in main building, ordered from the previous day on each ones favourite local products.
