We had a lovely stay in the Hare and Hounds. The room is charming and has recently been redecorated. It's very tastefully decorated, and the bathroom was very clean and spacious. The pub is also very nice, with a contemporary feel. We enjoyed both dinner and breakfast in the pub, and we found both excellent. Staff is friendly, the service was good, and I would say both accommodation and food are very good value for money. The location is good, with parking at the front. We also found some nice paths to walk our dogs in the surroundings. The dog friendliness is very much appreciated by us dog owners! A big thank you to the team in the Hare and Hounds for their kindness, and warm and welcoming service.

The house is cosy, private and peaceful and a 2 minute walk from a pub selling good food. The property is in an historic mill which has an amazing indoor water wheel. Jon, the host, was very knowledgeable about the history of the mill and the surrounding area.

This is a very special place the atmosphere was very cosy friendly and happy and we loved that it is owned by the community ,the room exceeded our expectations the decor was great loved the colours grey blue really comfy bed add powerful shower even loved the tiles in the bathroom! Brilliant location and great communication from Nick. Everything was explained very clearly, and the property was immaculate and very spacious. We have stayed in a lot of different places in and around Burnley, but this was definitely the best. As regular visitors to the area, this will now be the first place to book next time we come up.

we were told we would have to pay £20 for checking in early so we could change for a funeral after a 41/2 hour drive but when we did check in the lovely lady on reception told us she wasn’t going to charge us.

We absolutely loved everything about this place from checking-in until leaving. Our dog liked it even more as he was spoiled with treats and a sausage for breakfast every morning. The room was one of the most luxurious we stayed in during our three week road trip through Spain, France and the UK and our dog had a bed, towel and bowls too. They even left a Christmas present outside our room on Christmas morning too! ;.)
