The Shoregate is a wonderful independent hotel in Crail. It is run by a team that is committed to very high standards and has everything that is needed to provide guests with a relaxing stay. The team assisted me with tips ahead of my trip, and I also reserved dinner at the restaurant which was delicious.

Great location and views of the sea. We loved the details inside such as the decor, the wood burning stove and the films and books that were available. The kitchen had all the utensils you would require and the food and drink hamper we found on arrival was a nice touch.

The studio is nicely decorated and has a delicate touch. The location is perfect for the bus and access to the coastal path. It was warm and the heating system is efficient. I would recommend this accommodation.

The house was very comfortable and served as a home from home. The kitchen was well stocked which made making the breakfast for 5 people a joy. A visit to the Inn at Kingsbarns ( which is community run ) is well worth a visit as it is only a five minute walk.
