Very cosy and clean accomodation conveniently located. The communication with host was easy and they were very helpful. A great gesture leaving coffee, tea and sugar for us to use from day 1, and some bombons too! We all enjoyed our stay very much, thanks for all.

A really warm welcome with family atmosphere and lovely food. A real small village feel to the pub with both locals and travellers mixing to create a nice buzz. Staff attentive and friendly. Excellent breakfast.

Upon arrival, we were made to feel very welcome. The staff and even the locals were very friendly and inviting. The facilities were spot on, we had the Blythe room, which had the spa bath in it was exceptional.....from the super king bed, the crisp fresh linens and fluffy towels. The dining/breakfast room was lovely....the food was outstanding and excellent valve for money. Will definitely stay again and have even recommended to family and friends.

The room, breakfast and staff were all exceptional. Various breakfast options included Eggs Benedict as well as traditional full English. The beds were very comfortable and it was quiet. Plenty of parking and a short drive to a number of local attractions including the National Arboretum. The evening meals which are available are extremely good and excellent value for money. We plan to visit again and have recommended to family.

I'd give it more stars if I could. Marvellous country pub and inn. Stayed with my husband and 5 children on our way to Wales from Newcastle. Exceptionally friendly service, immaculate rooms and beautiful cooked breakfast to set us up for our long drive. Would love to return as we only stayed for one night and would have loved to relax in the beautifully kept outdoor space for longer.
