I had an incredible experience at the Doune Braes Hotel. The owner, Eileen, is the epitome of gracious hospitality. She and her staff offered great care in serving all their guests! The chef and dining room staff went out of their way to accommodate my special food needs. I felt like I had a personal chef and staff! The food was amazing and the staff graciously attentive. The room was perfect for spreading out and planning my ancestral journey. Eileen provided me with some resources for my journey. All in all an amazing experience. Home away from home. If you are on the Isle of Lewis - stay here! It is beautifully centrally located to be able to easily access all points in Harris and Lewis.

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage on Lewis Island! The communication with the host was great. The view from the cottage was absolutely stunning. We loved watching the sheep and grey geese roam the fields. We were lucky with the weather and got to enjoy a barbecue outside, which made the experience even more special. The lovely welcome basket was a thoughtful touch and made us feel instantly at home. We highly recommend this place for a peaceful and memorable getaway.

Everything was immaculate and all anyone would want. Wonderful facilities. Everything you need for a get away is in this house. The house is lovely, warm and the hosts have thought of everything. We took a cool box everyday with our lunches out on our adventures. There is a bbq available . It has been utterly fabulous.
