Choices were excellent. Dining room was a lovely relaxing place to eat. Staff were very efficient and friendly. The Inn was very sympathetically restored with alot of the old features retained.

Very comfortable room, nicely decorated and peaceful. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check in a few hours early even though they had warned us that might not be possible. The breakfast was excellent.

The grounds of the hotel were immaculate and very well cared for. The reception staff were very friendly and polite and our room was as expected. The reception area had comfortable seating and allowed for drinks to be served from the bar. The breakfast was excellent with nothing missing except a selection of alternate teas (fruit) to avoid having to request this from staff.

Gorgeous location. Loads of brilliant walking trails literally on the doorstep. We did a big walk on the first day. The views from Beeston castle are amazing, and the terrain you walk through is nice and varied (forest, fields, hills...). On our second day we basically stayed at the Bickerton Poacher eating and chilling out either in our nice room or in the pub. Food was delicious and always really hot. Breakfast was included and you could choose whatever you want off the breakfast menu (everything from porridge to full English to pancakes, with great veggie options too). Staff were very helpful. We travelled by train to Chester and then took a taxi the rest of the way (16 quid for an uber, 45 on the way back with the local taxi company). I would absolutely reccommend to anyone wanting to go on a walking getaway in Cheshire.

The decor, the staff were so hospitable, the breakfast and all the food in the restaurant. The whole atmosphere was superb! The room was perfect for a family with sofa bed downstairs for the kids and upstairs a lovely bedroom for the adults.

Friendly welcome (with cake!) and very family-friendly. The houses were cosy and the kids were fascinated by the farm and the animals, and it was a short drive to lots of places of interest.

The location was perfect as we were attending a function in their function room. Breakfast was superb. This was our fourth visit to this hotel as we have family living in the village, so it is very convenient.

Room was perfect for our little family of four with 2 under 5. The two floors in the bakery suite were ideal for the kids to be separate in the evening and everything was clean, modern and well equipped! Restaurant was also really nice. Ribeye steak was beyond succulent and spot on.
