We enjoyed everything, the village, the cottage, the welcome we received from all staff, the nice surroundings, the peace of the place. The cottage is super nice, we felt at home. The area is beautiful, we enjoyed every single minute of our 3 nights stay. The pool is also very nice and it adds to the overall experience, as we didn't find it easy to book a place with a swimming pool. In summer it must be gorgeous too, as there is a tennis court too. We rented the bikes as well, and we loved biking next to the loch. Stay there, you will not be disappointed, if you are looking for a relaxation, far from the crowds, while enjoying full and cozy comfort.

The place is immersed in nature and helps you to relax and find some quality silence time. 1. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. 2. The breakfast is very good while, although there isn't a large choice of the restaurants' menu but the quality is of the service and of the food is superb. 3. The bedrooms are extremely comfortable.

The hotel itself has seen far better days. The rooms advertised are not the rooms we got. The yellow painted ceiling is probably hiding smokes marks from years ago. where white paint won’t cover it.. old and run down. Hotel is extremely noisy at night with the bar underneath not recommended for families with young children at all. Last night we returned to find the police there.

We had a warm welcome and a lovely few nights at Cologin. It's well-located and close enough to everything while managing to feel quite remote. The family who run these lodges do a beautiful job and add a personal touch just by being present, friendly and unobtrusive. Great place for dogs too, with a gorgeous forest walk right on your doorstep. Would be an ideal place to bring children to as well.

Clean and tidy and the room was a good size. Booked a family room for two adults and a four year old. The room had two large beds so plenty of space. We travelled in winter so the main building of the hotel was closed, as was the restaurant and anything else they usually offer. The hotel was very upfront about this and ensured we were aware prior to confirming our stay. 10-15 minute walk into the main town centre (with a child so probably quicker than that normally).
