The unit was spacious, fully equipped (including olive oil and spices for the cooking!), and very clean. The children enjoyed the board games and books that were available. We arrived at night directly from the airport, and getting the keys through the machine was simple and fast. We got free breakfast for the first day, which was really helpful. We were offered free cleaning service every day, and on-site parking after a short registration was always available. The laundry room was very convenient to use.

The breakfast was unbelievable. We had the full English breakfast every morning, as well as cereal and fruits. Mrs. M. is a wonderful person and it was always nice to meet her smiling face every morning. We stayed 8 nights and never tired of it! The spacious bedroom (#6) is charming with exposed beams and nice linens. Mark furnished a fan and we brought our own as well. With the windows closed and the fans on, heavy curtains pulled, we heard NO road noise. It would be noisy with windows opened, but we had been warned beforehand and did not have a problem. The location is mixed. Not much to see or do in the immediate area, but it is a shortish walk to the downtown (about 20 minutes). No restaurants except for an ordinary pub. We were there for the Chalke Valley History Festival and the location was perfect for that, about a 20 minute drive but not complicated. Parking was a huge plus. The owners (Mark & his parents) made the stay so special. I was reminded of trips to England in the 1970s, when B&Bs were very personal and homey. Thank you. We will be back next year!

Everything from the moment we arrived until we left. The building itself is very cute, the staff greeted us warmly and the room was sympathetic. Food was also amazing (we had onpy breakfast but would aasume lunch/dinner is also great). Additionally, I’m a light sleeper but I slept perfectly on the good bed and pillows.

The property was thoroughly thought about for visitor comfort. Every detail from decaf tea, a snack tray and it being spotlessly clean was wonderful. Great walking distance to town and so spacious. We usually eat out when we go away but with the dining room we decided to stay in instead. The host Laura was super quick with any information and very generous with our check in and check out times. Parking on the street was easy and we wish we could have stayed longer! Hope to be back again.

Excellent breakfast! And dinner also. One should try the wonderful red eye steak. The staff was always nice and ready to help.
