Great communication with the host - Manos, he helped with everything… Recommended Rent a car, taxi number, amazing beaches… answered to all the questions I had. Clean apartment near center, beach was far, but we had car so it wasn’t a problem. Everything you need is in the apartment.

We visited Heraklion for just one night and with an early morning ferry off Crete. For our purposes, this apartment was absolutely perfect. It was very large, clean, and had all we needed. Though we didn't go into the city center, the apartment is a 7 minute walk to the port. There are convenience stores and least a couple of taverns within walking distance, though there was also ample and free street parking if you have a car.
