Our stay was one of the highlights of our 2-months Indonesia trip. Java Turtle Lodge is an exceptionally beautiful place to stay at where they look after you and want you to have the best experience. Our villa was clean & comfy, showers were hot, food was delicious and the garden is actually my dream garden with a fish pond and hammocks. We had an amazing time on our Sukamade turtle trip. In all honesty, this was the most expensive trip we paid for on our trip, but it was so worth it. First we visited Green Bay for a little hike & swim, then we had a fun 2 hours jeep ride, deep in nature, to Sukamade beach. Later, we went to the beach to spot turtles who might come to lay their eggs. We were not lucky to see one in action, but we followed her way back into the ocean. We spent the night at the national park rangers’ post, which was a minimal room but had everything we needed. And the best thing… we released baby turtles in the morning. Everyone included in this trip was genuine and treated animals fairly. A much recommended stay and trip!

The room was very spacious, with a complete wardrobe. It even had a drawer with a key, so you can keep your valuables safe. The location was in a characteristic place of the city, which was what I was looking for. The hosts were so kind, accommodating my needs and helping with everything. The staff was extremely friendly! They would help us out for excursion, day to day questions, cultural questions, etc. The place is really nice, the fool, the chilling area, the shared kitchen. It’s a real place to rest and meet other people as well. There are a lot of lovely and funny touches a bit everywhere at the homestay. Breakfast is nice and very cheap, Indonesian or continental. They organise trips to Ijen between 450 and 500k IDR. The room is nice and charming. Hot water in the shower. There’s a mosquito net in the room, which is very nice !

    We stayed at this resort 9 years ago and fell in love with the remoteness and beautiful surroundings. We brought our father and our kids here to spend 6 nights and we loved every moment of it . Even the gecko who make funny noises at night was just another uniqueness of this place . The staffs are exceptional . Love the view from our suites and the staffs goes above and beyond to all our requests . Even with the food they are flexible with our requests .

    Nice clean room with AC, the common area is great to enjoy your breakfast or just relax. I took this hostel because I could book the Ijen crater blue fire tour here. It was 400000 rupiah (350 during the week). I got picked up at around 0:10h so we got to the crater pretty early, there were not so many people yet and the blue fire was incredible to see. The family with their kids were very friendly and caring, i could try different snacks they made during the day and they helped me organize a transport to Sanur (Bali) to get to Nusa Penida.

    Room is very comfortable for a family 4. We check-in at night and the moment we woke up, we were surprised by the view! Nice view from our room. Very clean with daily clean up. Water bottles were also top-up daily. Staffs are friendly and helpful. My kids love the swimming pool. Will definitely be back if I come to Banyuwangi again!
