Provided all facilities including toiletries, surprisingly showercaps and shaving kit was also included. The room had a vintage touch and felt like a movie setup. The common space is magnificent with mesmerizing paintings and artistry placed at all corners. The Hosts are cordial and friendly. Had some insightful conversation.

Great location, 2 minutes walk from the village and they had their own lovely terrace out the back to sit and have a drink and take in the views! Service was great and the staff were so friendly. I’d happily return

Such a beautiful and restful place! We enjoyed our stay immensly and are greatfull to the very kind owner for sharing this spot of beauty with others. The wonderful and creative items in the house, all comfort available and the beautiful well kept sloapy garden with romantic seat with a beautiful view. Last but not least the ever so healing sound of the sea, the beautiful and nearly private beach. We were able to walk to the very impressive Altar Wedge Tomb and visit the very simple and beautiful Altar Churge dating back to the famine. Lovely towns as Schull and Clonakilty with boat trips to interesting islands very accessible. Thankyou Birgit, were hoping to be back with you!

Everyone should experience this great location and facility. We were so happy to relax by the water in a secluded area but easy to get get to by car. Breakfast is very adequate help yourself cereals, waffles, toast, fruit, yoghurts and Gail cooked some cookies, nice warm treat. Plenty to enjoy in a large bright common area that looks out onto the bay. Gail the host is a very interesting & down to earth person. Great personality. We just soaked up the serenity. Book a room with a seaview & balcony. Kickback watch the sunset with a glass of wine. Take a dip in the ocean. Sit out at night and star gaze. So peaceful. The sound of the lapping ocean is meditative. Fish or deals or something was playing in the water. Feels like you are miles away but actually close to Bantry and on the Beara Loop road. Good place to base also to break the Peninsula into two days. We came from the south, from Baltimore. I'd suggest, Drive lower section and return to the Boathouse for night two, then drive across the Pass and do the rest of the loop. Really great location. Microwave, fridge, toaster. Swimming, kayaking, hiking.
