Away from the hustle and bustle of life. Calm peaceful place. Very courteous staff. Special mention to Bhushan who was very kind and helpful throughout our stay. Food was very good in terms of quality and taste. Good lawn area to relax and enjoy in the evening.

It was like staying at a homestay but with the facilities of a great hotel. The staff are like one big family - nothing was too much trouble for them. The huge window out to the balcony and the incredible view (even with the haze hiding most of the mountains). They really catered for our vegetarian diet, serving dishes that weren’t on the menu so we still got varied offerings (try the riltok soup - it’s incredible!). Close enough to drop into kalimpong easily but down a dead end road so absolutely peaceful and totally silent at night - bliss! We walked straight out of the hotel and down into the forest for a beautiful trek.

It was wonderful. The beautiful, quiet location really suited us and the stylish contemporary decoration - made it really comfortable. All the facilities were great. Due to the Northern areas of Sikkim being closed we ended up spending 9 nights here in total and enjoyed the pool, the wonderful treatments from Pubyang in the Spa, the dining end evening entertainment in between our excursions. So many fantastic staff, starting with Kishan the duty manager who I spoke to from the UK. He reassured me that their tour guide could handle the pick up from Bagdogra and arrange a driver for all our planned locations. Their in-house tour manager, Sangay Sherpa was amazing, super efficient and took care of all of our transportation needs. He hired the fabulous Praveen Subba who drove us the entire trip, sharing his extensive knowledge and ensuring that as two women travellers we felt completely safe at all times. He’s a star! So many other wonderful staff especially Mingma who prepared the traditional Sikkimese breakfast for us most mornings and Veronica one of the reception managers. The whole team strove to make sure our experience was the best it could be. We very much hope to return.

This is owner operator facility. Extremely caring and friendly. Arrived there with chronic cough and the owner offer his home made herbal medicine. Next day woke up with no feeling of sickness whatsoever. You would not regret your stay in this place.

Our Home Stay and our last week in India was truly a rewarding experience. Santa Gurung and his lovely family made us feel so completely at home. Our lovely room was very private and we were able to have our breakfast on a sheltered balcony overlooking the valley and the Himalayas beyond, and their family’s flower gardens, fruit trees and vegetables, which often were part of breakfast. It is one thing to tour a new country, but it is so much more meaningful when you have the experience of getting to know your hosts. We left India, having seen so many beautiful temples and other special sites, but the feeling and the knowing that we had made friends, people we hope to see again, is the most precious of all. Thank you Gurungs for sharing a bit of your life with us. We will always remember you folks with love.
