Our experience at Sunsets and Palm Trees was nothing short of incredible. The accommodations are absolutely stunning, nestled right by the serene Backwaters, offering breathtaking views that make you feel like you’ve stepped into a dream. However, what made our stay truly exceptional was the unparalleled hospitality of our host, David. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was incredibly friendly, always available, and did everything possible to ensure we had the best experience. Even when we needed a last-minute additional booking, he made it happen effortlessly. The food was delicious, and every meal was prepared with so much care and attention to detail. The warmth and generosity we experienced at Sunsets and Palm Trees made us feel completely at home. Stunning place at the river. Comfortable room. Very friendly neighbours! Being a family who lives on the same plot and look after you. Extremely nice and easy going as is Cindu who cooked for us an excellent meal. The rent of the room is done by a company and makes it a bit confusing in communication on forehand.

The hosts were all very kind and made me feel completely at home. They even helped me plan amazing experiences like the houseboat and kayaking trips, which made my stay unforgettable. They upgraded us straight away and our room was very comfortable and near the pool. This is great for cooling off after walking in the heat and the games room with ping pong, chess, table football etc is a good addition. Clint was very helpful and we booked an early morning river cruise which I would recommend . The food at breakfast and dinner was very good too.

We had the most delightful overnight stay onboard Thara’s Houseboat. It is beautifully maintained and very comfortable. The food prepared and served by Sargee, who is passionate about his craft, was delectable and the two boatmen, Raju and Jaypal quiet and competent. Our hosts, David & Ambly, who took care of the administration, were very friendly. Not only was Sargee our cook but he also took us on a lovely late afternoon walk along one of the smaller canals describing the plants and their medicinal or culinary benefits something for which he is also passionate. Overall it was a wonderful trip and one we are so glad we didn’t miss.
