Everything’s perfect! It’s warm and well-equipped with everything you need. The best thing is that you get to see the cutest horses in the world ever. We encountered the sunny, rainy, snowy day within just one day and we saw the most beautiful northern lights at night. Highly recommended.

We had an absolutely lovely two-night stay at this charming accommodation in Iceland. We had a wonderful stay at this unique dome house. The place is quiet, peaceful, and beautifully surrounded by nature, with adorable horses nearby that made the atmosphere even more special. The host was very welcoming, and everything was clean and well-prepared for our arrival. The dome itself was cozy and relaxing, and at night we could enjoy the sky and even a few stars through the clear panels (no aurora during this season, but it must be magical when it appears!). Inside, the accommodation was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed: a microwave, Nespresso machine, small refrigerator, sink, plates, cutlery, and more. It was the perfect combination of comfort and nature, and we left feeling refreshed and relaxed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in Iceland.

We had a wonderful stay at Gaulverjaskoli. Magnea and Greg are very warm hosts and have created a charming place to stay. The rooms are very cozy and clean and have everything you need. The shared kitchen and the charming winter garden were also great. It was a wonderful place to linger and chat with the other guests. The kitchen itself is well equipped for cooking. Magnea and Greg had very good recommendations for activities in the area and selfoss was a great base for horse riding, driving to the golden circle and hiking to hot springs. We can highly recommend this accommodation.

Peacefully situated by Lake Villingarholt, Vatnsholt Bed & Breakfast is 16 km from Selfoss town centre. Impressive mountain views are featured.

What truly stands out is the hospitality. The hosts are incredibly kind, attentive, and always happy to share advice or local insights. A very special highlight were the rare Icelandic goats that live on the property – gentle, curious animals that guests can visit daily. They are very friendly and love to be petted, which made our stay feel even more unique and memorable. We would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Iceland.
