Even after reading all the previous, raving reviews, we were still very positively surprised - the apartment really has more than everything we could possibly need. Another “magical” plus, even with self-check in & out (by definition cold and person-less), Lucy somehow made it have a human touch. For future guests: you can believe the fantastic reviews here, they’re really true!

We needed to spend a first night in Iceland on our way to the East and chose this place for its affordability (we stayed in the pods) and good location. We were not disappointed. Staff was extremely friendly and flexible. We hiked a bit in the vicinity (troll walk, waterfall) before an excellent dinner - we recommend the "duo" menus. Sleep was comfortable enough in the pods - they are small but cosy and warm. Luck was on our side with some northern lights that night.

The Hvítá Inn by Ourhotels is a recently renovated guest house in Bær, where guests can make the most of its garden and bar.

Incredibly friendly staff, immaculate spotless clean, very cosy and warm (i forgot it was winter outside), very considerate of guests and travellers- provide coffee, tea, milk, etc. large comfy common space to do some reading and play board games. Oh and easy booking with detailed instructions. Highly recommended.

We got free upgrade and the room was clean and comfortable. Good choices for breakfast. Staff was very nice. We stayed only one night but would have gladly stayed longer.

What an inspired choice Blómasetrið proved to be. We'd visited the eruption site at Reykjanes en route from the airport and Borgarnes was the ideal stopping off point at the end of a long first day. We enjoyed drinks & cake in Kaffi Kyrrð before enjoying the stunning views the surroundings. The rooms & facilities were perfect for our stay and the amazing decoration of the lounge and cafe were delightful. Katrin and the staff could not have been more welcoming and provided great service
