We really liked the house! The corridors were decorated with small things and books throughout. Each room had its own theme and was decorated accordingly. For example, we stayed in the "Africa" room, which featured African-inspired décor. The house was clean, and the host had thoughtfully anticipated every need a guest might have. The bathroom had everything you need, and the kitchen was just as well-stocked. You can also buy some stuff from the host to make breakfast in the morning. We felt very welcome and comfortable during our stay. There was also a hot tub available, although we didn’t get a chance to try it. Definitely a highly recommended place to stay!

This cabin was pure magic. Tucked away in peaceful nature, it felt like stepping into a cozy Icelandic dream. Every detail — from the lighting to the decor to the thoughtful little touches — was clearly arranged with care. The space was spotless, warm, and welcoming, and we instantly felt at home. We only wish we had booked more nights — it was the perfect place to unwind after long days on the road. The views, the atmosphere, the comfort… everything exceeded our expectations. We liked everything although the cottage was a bit hard to find when we were arriving at night. Beautiful views from everywhere, one of our favourite stays. Clean and perfect for a small group.

Loved the location, the room, the breakfast and the staff behaviour. The northern lights viewing point, the hot tub, the sauna, the snooker table and the dart board were amazing value add-ons. They had coffee/tea/hot cocoa through the day at their restaurant, and a kitchenette to microwave meals. Highly recommended stay option near Akureyri. Special shoutout to Karl for his warm welcome and hospitality throughout our three night stay.

A good location for a stress-free getaway in Ólafsfjörður, Klara Guesthouse is a guest house surrounded by views of the mountain.

Easy late check in. Quiet accommodation in panoramic surrounding. Although I forgot to order breakfast in advance I was offered coffee and tea by the very kind hostess Ida.
