Although it’s a steep climb up the hill, the views made up for the though drive. The apartment is lovely and so are the hosts: Laura made sure we had everything we need and they even brought us a fan when we asked. There is also a nice lawn with sunbeds and an outside seating area for eating. The kids were loving the local animals: chickens and a donkey, Asia.

Anina and Barbara make you feel right at home. They are so very welcoming and warm hearted. My dog also loved it there and had a blast in the garden. Aaand I got vegan pancakes for breakfast - the level of thoughtfullness. Would def recommend!

We spent some amazing time at Casa Bartola. Absolutely. The scenery is stunning, quiet with fresh mountain air, while still really close to the city. Special thanks to the host for being so open. We felt like we were accepted as part of the small community, even though we have been there for only a week. Hope we can come back some day again, but may be with a smaller car 😁 Yeah, consider not taking your Range Rover there, the roads are quite narrow, which ads the spice I love, but if you are not a confident driver, you may want to drive a smaller car.

This property is absolutely stunning and in a quiet, beautiful location. The hosts are just delightful and truly welcoming. The pool is well kept and the landscaping makes it feel very homey. The sparkling wine, which was a little treat the hosts left for us, was delicious. So much so, I ended up buying 6 bottles of it to take home!
