Family hotels and homes in Rodi Garganico

My family had a wonderful time here in June, for almost 3 weeks. The hotel is perfectly located on a hill next to the national park, overlooking the sea. The complaints in other reviews, that it's far away from the beach and city, are not justified in my opinion because it all matches the descriptions of the hotel online. There is a free shuttle bus which takes you hourly to a nice beach club (5 minute drive, sunbeds are included), and one can even walk just down the hill to reach a small public beach. The place itself has been refurbished over the past years, and some parts are still updated one after another. But there is no major construction going on anymore, so it's overall very quiet and peaceful. Most outstanding is definitely the quality of all the finishings, the marble floors, and the beautiful pool area. The rooms are of different categories, and we had a standard double room. For a family with kids, this category may be a bit small, and we'd choose a bigger one next time. The rooms have all been renovated, only the bath rooms are slightly dated, which didn't bother us, though, as they were still nice and matched the descriptions and photos. As for the food, this was certainly another highlight. Very capable chef, and we ate there quiet often instead of going out. Fantastic pasta, seafood, or just small snacks - we were always satisfied, and our wishes were met. What made this place so special for us was the staff. Everyone from the hotel owner to the cleaning ladies made us feel like family and were super friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel's general manager made everything possible, no matter what we needed, and the drinks at the bar always came with a smile and nice chat. . Should we decide to come back to Puglia, it would be definitely the Rodi Resort again. This is certainly the nicest place in the area.

Hotel style - breakfest ok, small but good selection.

Peaceful place few minutes driving from Vico del Gargano old town. Location surrounded by nature and sea view. Host was helpful and gave us different suggestions regarding the area.

Everything is exceptional. Romantic location in the middle of olive trees, castle-like feeling, Lucia is so warm and helpful. Great food.

A small family hotel in a villa like from an American romantic movie set in Italy. Very professional and pleasant people. The best Italian food there is, great coffee. Italy in all its glory.

Would like to thank this family for letting us stay at their lovely Villa Maria just a short walk across the road to the beach which is absolutely beautiful they catered to our every need the property was a immaculate these are some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting with will definitely stay here again one million percent perfect for families coupled there are shops just three minutes walk and there is a bar a couple of doors down which is open during the day the villa itself was really clean and comfortable and very safe for our family there is a gate that you get a key for the previous owner of the property grandson is such a lovely young boy and will answer your every question and every need in and packable time he was so pleasant and extremely helpful the property had all you could ask for we really like this here and would definitely stay again this is an honest and genuine review on behalf of me and my family thank you so much Villa Maria

Initially we were given a room in the old building, which while large and the ability to sleep 6, did not have windows and only a door opening onto an enclosed hot terrace......also the airconditioning wasn't effective. Maybe because we were only staying one night? To give them their due, the management found us a replacement room without any fuss in the new building...... a self-contained apartment at no extra cost. This was more than we expected. We had a very pleasant meal that evening in the restaurant and next morning an excellent breakfast.
