The service was fantastic, and the views from the balcony was great, even though we only were on the thrid floor. Our room was a really spacius traditional room with tatami mats. I liked the traditional breakfast and dinner. I liked that there was a shuttle service to the Hakone-Yumoto station, even though the walk was really pretty.

It was such a comfortable home, rested in a beautiful village with views of the mountains. The town itself is stunning, with waterfalls and shops/restaurants/bus/train within 10mins walk. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Beds were super comfy and so great to have a washer/dryer. This was the perfect place to stay and recuperate mid-way through our travels. It is at the top of a hill, but we caught a taxi there and back with our luggage to Odawara St and were easily able to walk it for our adventures. Would absolutely recommend and stay again.
