My friends and I stayed here on very short notice after the shinkansen service was suspended and we had to divert through Nagano. We're very happy we did! The building itself is very tidy and homey! The bathing facilities were very comfortable and clean! The breakfast was beyond delicious! The staff is exceptionally welcoming and very kind (they even gave us a ride to the nearby bus station to drop off our luggage, then dropped us off at Matsumoto Castle)! I could go on and on about the staff and their hospitality. We know VERY little Japanese but their English was amazing and they did a great job explaining the amenities to us! The surrounding area is very quiet and beautiful! They are tucked inconspicuously in a small, suburban neighborhood and mountains surround the area. I cannot recommend this place enough and hope to stay here again in the future! If you are in the area, please do yourself a favor and stay here :)

Really clean and spacious 2-storey house. They give us a lot of things like welcoming biscuits, noodles, water, tea, energy drinks, tea and coffee. They even have a projector and hair straightener haha. A really nice place with cheap prices. 100/10

visited in the summer and stayed at this super convenient location (bus stop is right infront of the accoms) which is about 7-10min walk from norikura visitor centre. breakfast was wholesome (and can be requested as bento) and dinner service was good too. there is a free flow bar that is very affordable. in-house onsen is the milky sulfur type and is very well-maintained with sufficient amenities. room is very spacious and bright. beds were super comfy. the staff was very helpful - from arranging our meals to helping us with restaurant/cafe reservations on our trip.

Excellent and affordable (compared to other Ryokan) place to sleep. Lovely rooms, three baths (man, woman, family). Book dinner with them! Such delicious food, each dish a picture to the eye. The service explains in your own language what you are eating, using the phone. So cute. You can be picked up from the station if you consult with the Ryokan (is a bit too far away to walk). In the evening you can have a drink in a cute place inside opposite the reception, which is nice because there is not very much around.
