I was looking to 'get away from it all' for a few days, and this was perfect. I stayed on my own for two nights. It was off-season and mid-week, so I felt like I had the whole park to myself. The villa is comfortable, with an excellent shower and bath, a small kitchenette with a kettle and mini-fridge, and two beds, a couch, and a small desk. Outside is the balcony with two chairs and a small table. Lots of closets and shelves. And windows with a view!!! I had cold udon and cake for lunch in the small tourist shops area, but as a vegetarian, it made more sense to carry in most of my own food. Besides these small shops (which close at 5), there isn't much else. There are a few places around the ferry dock, but i am not sure everything is open every day. From the balcony, you can see the skyline of Fukuoka and the boats moving around. There are a lot of kites (birds of prey) hovering, and they fly right past the windows. Beautiful! There were also lots of butterflies and some cicadas in the trees. At night, you can see the stars. I was seeking solitude, and I found it. It was so relaxing!! My experience might be unique to visiting when the park is less crowded...

The sushi restaurant and the bar in the roof are very good . All the staffs were super friendly . The temperature was really cold for two days and they passed out hot packs for guests on their way out.

Super pretty & cosy airbnb + private open-air onsen + private sauna! The host also provided an amenities bag per guest (which even included a facial mask - the skincare kind, non-disposable razor, body sponge etc etc) , free drinks and snacks! It was amazing. Oh the toilet even had cleansing oil + emulsion + lotion + face wash!! And hair straightener. Wow. I've stayed at 8 accoms in Kyushu & this accoms was the absolute best. 10/10 will stay again when I come back to Fukuoka.
