hosted by a lovely couple. also if you not speak japanese there is no problem to make things happen, super helpful and supportive. Now my second time and my go for place to stay on this beautiful island. i enjoy the tatami room, but also there is one room with a western bed. a kitchen with everything what is needed to prepare food and tea / coffee. I hope you enjoy this place like I do.

The house has a pleasant, traditional feel and it is very spacious. The kitchen is big and it was easy to prepare meals every day. The host was very nice and whenever we had any questions she promptly responded. The garden, as small as it is, is well taken care of and we could actually pick some ripe kumquats from the tree. The location is practical for exploring northern part of the island. It was a marvellous holiday.

Everything was simply perfect. Never lived in such a well appointed house! As soon as I got into a new rental house in Okinawa, I immediately regretted AMALOG with its luxurious flair and ease of accessibility in any part and to any amenities. ‘Gorgeous’ is the right description. Terashi left any desirable useful item for house and personal cleaning, laundry, toiletries, bedding etc. and helped us out very quickly during a power outage. He’s an extremely kind host. All in all AMALOG is a jewel. I’ll get back whenever I have a new chance to visit Amami.

This is a hotel where I really felt welcome and everything was perfectly organized from A to Z. The reception helped me organizing a rental car and gave me excellent advices where to go snorkelling and to find turtles which I really did. Snorkelling equipment can be rented as well as bicycles. The breakfast and dinner was simply excellent, every day different with fresh and local dishes. Free airport shuttle was very kind. The room I stayed in the first floor had direct access to outside, was really spacious and the big windows with view to the sea were amazing. I think the hotel management is really investing a lot in staff and resources to make it an excellent stay.

I loved everything about this guesthouse. The beds are super comfortable and they have a fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils. They even have seasoning that guests can use. The guesthouse offered airport pickup and drop off. The gentleman who picked us from the airport even took us to the supermarket to buy groceries before we checked in. He was very kind and made sure we felt welcome 🤗. This is the very best place to stay when you visit Amami island. It's walking distance to Tomori beach and a clean guest house with good vibes.

This was the best hostel stay I ever had on my travels. The hostel is extremely clean, offers all the amenities you need and is beautifully decorated with a lot of attention to detail and design. The beds are spacious, very comfortable and offer much privacy. I also really liked the communal area, which is bright and very inviting to relax and enjoy your stay. It is centrally located right next to a lovely shopping street with cafes and restaurants. But the most amazing aspect was the owner, Misako-san, who made my stay in Amami unforgettable. She took a lot of time to show me around this beautiful island that is her home, showing me her favorite places and shared a lot of insights and recommendations. Misako-san really embodies the hospitality and kindness of Amami, she was an amazing host always there to help and make your time in Amami the best experience. I can only recommend that you visit and stay here!
