The best in town, We stayed here for 4 nights and We couldn't have asked for more. The location was perfect and quiet. The rooms and the property is well maintained & The view from the room is the best you can get in ella, Food is great and they also have a cafe in town called Chill cafe. The staffs were really helpful and friendly, Roshan and Nuwan are gems, Thank you for making our stay so memorable. I got so attached to the friendly neighborhood dog Sisi, She made our stay even more memorable. WE WILL BE BACK FOR SURE.

We had a lovely stay at Blue Heaven. The view from the room was stunning, you can see the waterfall and the train from there. Breakfast was incredible, and even better its bought up to the room for you to enjoy on the balcony.

The wife’s favourite stay in Sri Lanka, heavenly views high up and at one with nature. Nice vibe around the area at night. Staff were great and the breakfast location was stunning and you can see the train high in the hillside opposite.

I stayed in the downstairs room which was large and bright with big windows and a great view. The bed was comfortable. The excellent breakfast was served on a covered terrace, again with fantastic views across the valley. There were lovely sunsets. It is on top of a hill so a little difficult to access. I had a motorbike so it was easy for me, but if you are relying on tuk-tuks some of them won't go all the way to the top, which leaves you with a short but very steep climb to the accommodation. This would be hard if you have a lot of luggage. Best to contact Shiraz the owner as he can arrange a tuk-tuk to the door. The reward for being on the hill is peace and quiet and a lovely view.

This was our favourite place to stay from our entire trip. Everything was fantastic. The room, facilities, the view, hosts and breakfast. The room was cool enough with a large ceiling fan but there was no air con (not an issue for us though).

Great location - close to town but peaceful. Awesome views. Room is clean. And the staff are friendly. I really enjoyed the food!

I need more stars! 5 is not enough in any of these categories! Seriously, this is an absolute gem of a place to stay. It's not just a room, this is an experience and worth every penny and more. First of all, this room is way up on the mountain with the front balcony overlooking the 9 arch bridge. You can watch the trains come and go right there in your own space! There is a footpath that goes down to the bridge and takes you all around it so you can see it from every angle and it's extremely beautiful! The bed is VERY comfortable with actual bedding unlike much of Sri Lanka where you get what feels like a tablecloth to cover yourself. I slept very well. Every detail is covered: cards and books, umbrellas, kettle. Mini fridge, every type of drinkware, sugar, coffees/teas, hairdryer, washclothes and even the adapter for plugs. There are tons of outlets to plug into, one on each side of the bed as well as reading lamps. Huge windows to let tons of light flanked by curtains to darken the room as well. The neighbor property is Upali's brother's property which now also houses a bar/restaurant overlooking the tracks! Delicious breakfast is served on the front patio and is more than I eat in a day! Fresh fruits, little rolled pancakes with coconut and sugar, hoppers, hoppers with eggs, yogurt and coffee. The best part of the stay? Upali. He is an incredible host. Need a ride back down the hill? He's there. Need a ride back? Ok! Want to go climb Little Adam's Peak? Let's go! Anything you need he is ready and willing to help! I've never experienced anything like it. He even checked the oil, lights, brakes and everything in my tuk tuk and gave it a little wash. Made sure I was safe traveling alone as a woman. Just so amazing! Anyway, I urge you to book now, don't hesitate because it will be gone if you wait! Wish I could have stayed forever! Thank you Upali for a wonderful stay! I can't wait to return!
