Beautiful property and well appointed rooms. Lovely decor and amazing food. We were thoroughly spoilt by Claire and the team at Warden’s House. The daily safaris were an excellent bonus - we saw a leopard!! We had an unforgettable stay and can’t wait to go back.

Enjoyed the stay in our own space! Amazing location with close proximity to all Kataragama main attractions. Situated right across a lake beside the main road. This place had the best spacious & clean rooms with comfortable bedding when it's compared with other options in Kataragama that's going at these similar rates. Managed by a humble local family and they treated us the best way possible. They even offered morning tea/coffee free of charge in the morning & gifted us some yummy mangoes from their own garden as well at our departure.. Got to know that they can arrange a safari as well if required & saw some great experiences shared by the previous gusts as well.. Parking available. Recommending the place to friends, families & couples who are seeking a peaceful stay :)

your room is its own out building with a lovely big bed and en-suite. All toiletries are provided in the bathroom, and you have a lovely terrace outside with sun loungers to enjoy the peace and quite. the staff are amazing and do everything they can for you. they provided us with taxi service by collecting us from Ella, and then dropping us to Hikkaduwa after the safari day for very good rates. the safari was amazing, and we saw all the animals possible in Yala including Sloth bears and Leopards. 10/10 would recommend

Amazing staff. Number 1 in Sri Lanka. The best service there is, the safari guide was very friendly and pleasant, and the camp manager was amazing and gave us the best experience there is. They made a surprise birthday for my wife with a cake and music, and when we forgot a bag in the jeep he drove a special long distance to get it for us. Perfect staff for a stunning experience

I had the pleasure of staying at Farm Villa Resort in Katharagama for two nights, and it was a wonderful and memorable experience from start to finish! 🌿 From the moment we arrived, the welcome was warm and heartfelt. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything. Special mention to the front office team – truly a gem in hospitality! The room was spacious, the bathroom was very big, and the overall comfort . The clean and inviting swimming pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing in the serene atmosphere. What makes Farm Villa Resort truly special is its beautiful location surrounded by nature. The resort is set amidst lush paddy fields, and there's a charming little lake flowing through the property, creating a peaceful, scenic environment ideal for rest and reflection. I enjoyed walking through the paddy fields, listening to the birds in the mornings, and even got to pick fresh fruits from the garden! 🍌🌾 It's also conveniently located – just a short walk to the sacred Kirivehera and Katharagama Dewalaya, making it perfect for both pilgrims and nature lovers.One of the biggest highlights was the full-day Yala Safari arranged by the hotel – an absolutely amazing adventure! 🐘🦁 We saw incredible wildlife, and everything was perfectly organized with a knowledgeable guide.The food was another standout. The traditional Sri Lankan dinner was flavorful and authentic, clearly made with care and love. The breakfast offered plenty of variety, and every meal was beautifully presented. The Den at Yala is a true gem! This small, intimate hotel with only four rooms offers an incredibly personal and welcoming experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted so warmly by Gabriel, his wife, their children, the stuff, and even their friendly dogs – it genuinely felt like arriving at a home away from home. The hospitality was exceptional, making our stay truly memorable. If you're looking for a cozy and personal retreat near Yala, The Den is an absolute must.

Lovely little property with a wonderful owner who was always on hand to make sure everything was ok. The outside inside bathroom was a highlight. The food she cooked was excellent and lots of it! They also organised everything for our full safari trip to Yala with a great and safe guide and organised a breakfast to go hamper for the journey which was fabulous.

We recently visited Yala Village Eco Tree House with my mother and husband, and it was a truly wonderful experience. The owners, together with his wife, are extremely kind, caring, and attentive. They made us feel so welcome and treated us with the utmost respect and hospitality. The place itself is beautiful, peaceful, and very close to nature – a perfect spot to relax and enjoy. Everything was well organized, and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. I highly recommend Yala Village Eco Tree House to anyone who wishes to have an unforgettable and relaxing experience in a natural and friendly environment. We are truly grateful for the warm hospitality and can’t wait to visit again!
