We completely loved this accomodation. Location was perfect, as we came by train and left by bus, it was walking distance everywhere. Whole property is super cool with nice touches that makes it very cozy. Room was extremely spacious with very comfortable huge bed. I liked balcony with nice seating area, which we did not have time to use :) . Whole style of hotels gives you nice colonial vibes, which is so typical for this town, so it just perfectly completed whole feeling from this Sri Lankan historical gem. Stuff was super nice always have nice words for us and helped us with all the questions we had.

I liked everything about this property. Beautifully decorated the whole place. The most i loved is their homemade lavish breakfast which were huge for only two person. They made it with love that it why it tasted so good.

The hosts and location of the property were amazing! The hosts gave us multiple travel recommendations and also made sure we were taken care of getting back to Colombo. I’d highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a more relaxed home stay villa.

We stayed in the villa at the top, which offered a stunning view thanks to the large panoramic doors and windows. We stayed in Room 19, which turned out to be spacious and cozy. It had all the necessary amenities: air conditioning, a comfortable bed and mattress (just like home), new beautiful and comfortable furniture, nice bathroom with a large shower, a bidet, and a washing machine. We were pleased to have a kitchen, a refrigerator, and household items. The territory is simply magnificent, it was looked after every day, the place is full of beautiful trees where birds sing and build nests. You can see how grows mango, papaya, lime, bamboo, etc. It’s like a paradise. There’s also a pool on the premises. It was nice to dip in and spend time there. Staff:
 The first thing that comes to mind about the staff is their smiles and politeness. I thank everyone who works in this place for their kindness and friendliness. Sasini always tried to assist us with any inquiries: helping with little requests, organizing excursions, and you could talk to her about the culture and traditions in Sri Lanka. She was very responsive and kind, even giving me a small gift to remember our stay. Driver Sandaru was always friendly and quickly took us to the necessary places in a tuk-tuk. He recommended visit a turtle hatchery and took us to nice beaches: Dalawela Beach and Jungle Beach, which are not far from the villa. He even gifted us some incense, it was nice. Every 3-4 days, we were offered cleaning, and they vacuumed, changed the sheets, towels, and wiped all surfaces and mirrors. However, you could also request cleaning earlier if needed. Breakfast was included in the price:
A buffet was offered mostly local food, but it was always varied. One day my wife mentioned that she likes the Aralia flower, and later the staff presented it to her just like that, it was a very kind and nice gesture.

Everything was truly excellent. The aesthetics of the resort are absolutely beautiful and calming, the rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is really spacious and clean. The bed slept super comfortable. Breakfast was truly delicious, coffee great too. Really everything was brilliant. Felt totally at ease staying at this resort. Wish we could stay longer!

Cozy stay with beautiful garden and tasty breakfast.

This was hands down the nicest place we stayed at in Sri Lanka! This modern property is nestled amongst the rice fields, only a short drive away from the main road between Mirissa and Galle, and very close to the Koggala lake. The road to get there is a little bumpy, but once you arrive you are welcomed with a real luxury feel. The building is a perfect mix between a modern feel with authentic Sri Lankan touches. The common area is very spacious, beautifully decorated with gorgeous furniture and plants everywhere. It also overlooks the wonderful pool area, with the garden and rice fields beyond. The staff is very kind and attentive, and make sure your needs are answered for. We arrived too early for check-in but were able to hang around the common area and pool while waiting for our room to be ready. The room itself was huge and perfectly decorated like the rest of the property. The bed was very spacious, with the softest and comfiest bedding you could wish for. We had the room with the beautiful outdoor bathroom, which gave a very luxurious and special touch to our stay. The view from the balcony was so special: on the surrounding rice fields and the trees in the garden where we could sometimes see the local monkeys! The breakfast provided is absolutely delicious: you can choose between European or Sri Lankan options, and the daily juice provided is very tasty too (their avocado juice is definitely a must try). There is a coffee machine that is free of service, with hands down the best coffee we had in Sri Lanka. We also had a couple of meals there and everything was equally tasty (only the portions sizes are not always very big so to keep in mind). The staff were very helpful to organise tuktuk rides to the main road as we wanted to use the local bus to get around along the coast (it's very easy to get to Mirissa/Galle this way). All in all we had a great time at Villa Alba and cannot recommend it enough!!

Really aesthetically pleasing rooms and bathrooms. Beautiful design! The pool area is great. Breakfast was plentiful and really tasty - fruit salad with oats and yoghurt, eggs and toast, Nutella pancakes, fresh fruit juice and tea/coffee. All the staff were wonderful and very accommodating. I really recommend staying here
