The place was amazing, it really felt like heavenly idyllic oasis compared to chaotic, busy vibe of Marrakech. Perfect for animal lovers, we loved them all, from horses, sheep and goats to cats and of course the amazing peacock. Although the cats on the streets of Medina made us feel sad here we felt in love with our furry friends joining us every evening, some sitting on our laps, others meaowing loudly from the field. We hope to see them again♡ After 5 nights it was sad to say goodbye, we definitely hope to be back!

We stayed 5 nights with a couple of friends in this amazing Riad and enjoyed every single day to the fullest! The riad is very well located in a quiet and easily accessible side alley of the old Medina near the Kasbah Mosque, only 15min walk from the main square of Jamaa El Fna. This made it easy for us to explore the different attractions of the old medina and its bustling souks. Once you walk through the Riad door, you find yourself in a charming and beautiful oasis. Plants everywhere, a nice pool in the courtyard, a Hamman, a spacious rooftop terrace where a very good breakfast is served and where you can also sunbathe (sunbeds available). Our room by the pool was clean, cosy and nicely decorated. The bed was also very comfortable. But what really made our stay enjoyable is the amazing friendly stuff. They were there to help at any time of the day or night. Each one of them made us feel very welcomed and valued since the moment we arrived until we left. Especially Mr Hamza who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Especially on the day of our departure, we had an evening flight and he made sure we could enjoy our last day in Marrakech and still have the possibility to use the Hamman to shower and relax before our transfer to the airport. We can honestly recommend this place without hesitation! This was our first visit to Morocco and Marrakech and it we will not be the last one, In sha'Allah.

Amazing riad, very quiet and beautiful. The service was attentive and always available. The breakfast was abundant, and they even kindly made options especially for my lactose intolerant friend. I definitely recommend this place.

We stayed here for a month to work remotely and travel/have fun on the weekends. First things first: it was amazing, and we can’t recommend it enough. Now, here’s why: 1. The rooms were spacious enough, in typical Moroccan style, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had hot water that never ran out. 2. We were worried about the internet in Morocco for remote work, since we had to take several video calls a day, but it worked just fine! It failed occasionally, but no biggie. 3. We had at least two meals a day at the riad (breakfast + lunch or dinner), and honestly, it was some of the best food we had in Marrakech. The only time we ate out was for international food because when it came to Moroccan cuisine, we had the best of the best right here. 4. The staff was amazing—friendly, attentive, and made us feel at home. We spoke English, and most of them didn’t, but we still managed to communicate just fine. 5. Staying for a whole month, we needed to do laundry, and the staff made everything available for us. 6. Great for sports too! There are golf courses nearby and we also had a padel club just 5 minutes away, which we went to often. We got so used to being here that we genuinely felt sad to leave. This place became our little home for January, and we would gladly come back.

Staying at Maison Mamdy Rooftop was one of the most heartwarming and memorable parts of our trip to Morocco. From the very first moment, the host Younes made us feel like part of his own family. He is not only extremely welcoming and kind, but also genuinely caring—always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time, both at his place and throughout our travels in Morocco. Younes went above and beyond, giving us fantastic local advice on where to eat and visit nearby. His hospitality was exceptional, from the delicious breakfasts (a real treat for anyone with a sweet tooth!) to the thoughtful gesture of arranging an early breakfast on the day we started our desert tour. We were also able to leave our car safely near the house with no issues at all, which was a big relief compared to the hectic and sometimes stressful parking situation in the Medina center. The house itself is calm, clean, and very comfortable—a peaceful contrast to the busier parts of Marrakech. If you're traveling with a car, this is truly the ideal place to stay. The area may seem quiet and a bit under construction in parts, but it felt completely safe, and we had no problems at all. There’s even a big shopping mall with a large supermarket just 10 minutes away by car, which was very convenient. The rooftop view of the Atlas Mountains was breathtaking, and sitting there in the mornings or evenings was simply magical. Every detail of our stay was filled with warmth, and Younes and his family gave us a beautiful introduction to the genuine kindness and hospitality of Moroccan people. We are deeply thankful to Younes—his kindness and generosity truly touched our hearts. This was not just a place to sleep, but an experience we will always carry with us. One of the best memories from our entire trip!

We liked the staff very very much! So kind, professional, helpful, welcoming and full of positive informations and advices about the city and Marroco in general. Muhammed was of great help for us, and his english is very good. He made us to feel like we are at our home. It would be great if every Riad/hotel would have that great and friendly receptionist! Well done! We changed 5 hotels in Marroco and this one was the best! The looby, the room, the food everything simply perfect. They even arranged free airport pickup! Also it is not in the city center but even better to be honest- after a busy day in souks, you get to this peaceful oasis and enjoy! We had halfboard and it is a must! Dinener was very tasteful and it variances each day - we must come again!
