My stay at the Iguana Azul was simply wonderful! If you are looking for a place to relax, quiet, with breathtaking views and extremely kind staff, Iguana is everything you could want to spend extremely happy days in Chefchaouen. Starting with the location, which when you arrive in the vicinity of the Medina you will walk about 5 minutes to reach the accommodation. It is located inside the medina, close to all points of interest, picturesque streets, restaurants, cafes. Speaking of coffee, you will have a transcendental experience when you have breakfast beautifully organized by the iguana staff. In addition to being delicious and filling, the view is stunning, to the mountains. I loved to spend at least two hours of my day there relaxing. There is also, on the floor above, a decorated Rooftop, where you will have a panoramic view of the blue city 🫂 The employees are there to help with everything necessary, such as visiting tips, buying tickets, recommending restaurants and whatever else is necessary. Imad and his staff made us feel right away at home. The Riad was comfortable and clean. We had a lovely room. Breakfast was perfect and served with a smile. It is in a great location. We had to check out early and the staff made sure we had breakfast and helped us to get to our car. A great Riad in beautiful Chafchouan.

Everything was really good. We had a room with a balcony with an amazing view to the city.. Mohamed gave us a little tour of the city because we had some issues with kids surrounding our car and being aggressive because they thought we were taking pictures of them and also right at the parking lot we saw a motorcycle accident with people fighting and blood all over their faces. This was not the Dar fault and Mohamed was so great by reassuring us and guide us through the city center.

Samir’s communication was great! He was very helpful throughout the stay. We made a mistake and forgot our keys inside, and he got us help immediately despite not being in Chefchaouen himself. The house is great on its own too. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the old town.

Cute, rustic place and the staff were all amazing. They made the stay great, from the delicious breakfasts cooked and served on the terrace by the 2 super kind Fatimas to the guys in the reception who were always friendly and helpful: Mohammed, Lotfi and the guys from the ‘Herbario’ next door.

This is a really sweet and charming little house, tucked away from the main square and business of the tourist area. It is tranquil and relaxing here. There is a beautiful rooftop terrace with excellent views where you can take your breakfast or just relax. It is an authentic Chefchaouen home so you can really have the local experience. Otman, the gentleman in charge is friendly, helpful, and sincere - he can help you with any request. His wonderful mother prepares a really lovely breakfast each morning. You really feel like you are a guest of this family when you stay here. Great washroom, shower, and hot water. Comfy and unique room. Great location if you like quiet and to escape the busyness of the main touristed area. It is within easy walking distance of many cafés and restaurants with very fair prices. This property also has easy access to the trail leading to the Spanish mosque where you can watch a beautiful sunset. I would definitely return to Dar Onsar and will be sure to recommend to any who will visit Chefchaouen 💙
