Family hotels and homes in Ankify

Beautiful accommodation with an outstanding garden, wonderful beach nearby, very friendly and helpful staff, great food! We had a lot of nice hotels in Madagaskar, but this was my favourite. Unfortunately we stayed only one night, but if we would plan again we would definitely stay longer! Great place to relax from a round-trip.

Everything was just super-perfect. This is the right hideaway for couples to unwind, relax and enjoy the quiet island life and beauty of the coastline, above and underwater! ... and all this while still being able to connect to the outside world (great wifi ;-) ). Rooms are wonderfull, views are great (sunsets), there is a housereef in front, turtles around. Food is great and the chef is always ready to tend to your suggestions. Caipirinhas in the pool, overlooking the sea... The diveshop is well equipped and the dive guides are super-friendly and professional.

Despite confirmation # they couldn’t find the reservation from Booking.com. Did manage to sort it out and they agreed to match the reserved price. Clean spacious room with 2 beds. Fan and mosquito nets, generator turned off at 2am though so got a little warm.

Breakfast and all meals were Amazing. Staff were incredible, kind and warm hearted. The attention to detail in the upkeep of the property was amazing. I've rarely found a better managed place. We saw lemurs every day, as well as Chameleons and other animals. They also have a wonderful pool and an incredible garden.

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. We had a great one night stay at Les bungalows d'Ambonara, quiet location, surrounded by a nice garden, delicious breakfast at the pool, lovely and helpful staff. Can only recommend!
