NorwayThe snow hotel is absolutely worth a visit. I had expected more like a very touristic and overrated place, but the room and the ice sculptures and the whole ice hotel was very-very impressive and almost magical! The stuff was very helpful during my whole stay, and the equipment (sleeping bag, balaclava, wollen socks) worked very well. The sauna is a highlight after a night in the cold, and the shower and bath room are very clean and nice. The breakfast was way better than at any other places in Norway with a large selection of delicious food and drink. I totally recommend to visit the hotel during the summer time, then you probably can have the whole place just for you or maybe with a couple of other guests.

You’re far away from everything only surrounded by nature… Bjorge my host is a very nice guy, he helped me to find my way around the place or with any questions you might have.
You have a fully equiped lovely timber cottage for yourself, and if you keep all the lights off you can see when the Northern Lights appear…
It doesn’t get any better than this, I’ll be back!

It is like sleeping in an ice cavern. The lighting and ice sculptures were very nice. The sleeping bags are warm, and the beds are comfortable. Of course, it’s not possible to have plumbing in a structure made of ice, so showers and bathrooms are in a separate facility. We felt like we were the only guests at the hotel. :) The whole experience was a lot of fun, from the Crab Safari (I had NO idea crab could taste so good!) to meeting the Huskies.
