My wife and I visited Thamel recently and stayed in Kathmandu Aguntuk hotel. This hotel is located in the prime location of Thamel. The breakfast was really good! All the staffs were super helpful throughout our stay. We were about to miss our flight while coming back from Nagrokot, due to the prompt action of the taxi driver Mr. Kapin and the hotel Manager Mr. Subash, we were able to catch the flight. My wife lost her phone while the flight. Hotel manager Mr. Subash found the phone and reached out to us. We are very much great full for the help and hospitality we have received. We strongly recommend this hotel!

The hotel is excellent and highly professional. Its location in the heart of Thamel is perfect—central yet pleasantly quiet and comfortable. The hotel facilities are outstanding, with a beautifully designed lobby and rooms that are maintained to a very high standard compared to other places I’ve seen in the area. The stay felt truly welcoming, and the breakfast was both delicious and varied. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything I needed, and the hotel manager was highly professional and personally involved in ensuring a great experience. This area is a dream for backpackers, with its charming streets, hidden gems, and rooftop restaurants offering breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. One of the highlights of our trip was a Himalayan exploration tour that the hotel staff arranged for us. The price was reasonable, and we spent a whole day hiking in the hills, getting closer to the majestic mountains we had longed to see. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we truly appreciated how effortlessly they helped make it happen. Everything about our stay was wonderful, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I found this hotel to be a great choice for budget travelers. The room was clean and the mattress was exceptionally comfortable, making for a restful stay. The bathroom was also spotless, with a strong and reliable hot shower. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. I would definitely choose this hotel again if I return to Kathmandu.
