Best stay on the Camino Portugués. Smiling Places is exactly that — a genuinely welcoming, peaceful stop that feels like a little haven. The host is incredibly kind, thoughtful, and helpful. You can tell the place was built and run with care. Everything is super clean, comfortable, and just works — from the quiet rooms to the little details. There’s even a small garden and a pool, which was perfect after a long day walking. Breakfast was great too — simple, tasty, and enough. Out of all the places I stayed along the Camino, this was the one I’d come back to without thinking twice. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful guesthouse in Porto! The hosts were incredibly kind, warm, and helpful. They greeted us with heartfelt hospitality and gave us a great overview of the city, including tips on must-see sights and hidden gems. It truly made a difference in our stay! One extra bonus: the guesthouse offers bikes for rent, which can make exploring Porto even more fun and convenient. All in all, a truly exceptional experience. Great and interesting house in a pleasant location on the side of the city center, easy parking, accessible shops, a great starting point for trips to Porto and the surrounding area. Nice welcome and service from the owner. The advantage is the complete privacy that the house provides. And, of course, extra points for the original interior of the house. It's a pity that we couldn't enjoy the outdoor facilities of the house, it was still quite cold outside.

Perfect location, on the Camino. Gorgeous room, in a beautiful old building. Lovely host. Amazing breakfast provided at restaurant next door. It was like being in someone's home.

This is a spacious apartment, super close to the airport but with no plane noise. The beds were excellent, showers were great, fresh bread was delivered for breakfast and it was perfect for having a stress free morning to get to the airport

Super kind owner! He was so polite, explained everything and showed the shortest way to airport. Apartment is as a separate house in his property and we were even sad we needed to leave so early. So definitely can recommend if you want to have peaceful, comfortable rest before or after your flight.

We stayed for one night which was very convenient for spending our last night in Porto and catching a very early flight the next morning. The host was super helpful, responding to my questions very quickly. We were offered an early check-in which enabled us to make the most of our final day in Porto, very welcomed to say the least.
