Sao Jorge island, Faja Santo Cristo and the Caldeira Guesthouse are musts when coming for a trip to Azores. The place is as remote as it can be, but gave us everything that we needed for a two day stay. It is a perfect place for non-surfers (as we are) but it seems to be a paradise for surfers. The staff was there for us all the time and they were also ready to prepare meals that would suit our needs most (breakfast, lunch or highly-recommended - dinner). Overall - one of the best guesthouse and places we have ever had a chance to be in.

Everything. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The house has everything. Very nice welcome. Gorgeous views of Velas and the two islands nearby. Quiet at night. We loved the sound of the seabirds in the evening.

Everything was simply perfect! Ulrike and dirk were super nice hosts, the house was very well equipped, swimming spot is just a few meters away, we absolutely enjoyed.
