Really nice room with good facilities and a beautiful view. Great breakfast. The spa was excellent. The breakfast and check out hours were more relaxed than normal hotels which made the stay feel extra relaxed.

During our trip to the Douro Valley, we were amazed by the exceptional hospitality of the host. He welcomed us with warmth and care, showing generosity in everything – from recommendations to pleasant surprises. It was obvious he poured his heart into creating this place. The apartment itself was incredibly cozy and thoughtfully equipped: a fully stocked kitchen, a spacious living room, and many important little details. It was the perfect retreat for relaxation. We sincerely recommend this place to anyone seeking a homely atmosphere and an unforgettable experience in the Douro Valley.

The Casa (Quinta) is amazing and first-rate. It brings out the best of traditional Portugal with a keen eye and capacity to the modern luxury traveler who wants something a bit different and unique. Luis (the owner) is also the winemaker. Luis presented his wines, He shared what Douro wine region stands for, its history, regulations, and his own philosophy producing his exceptional wines. His Tia Pia Red Reserva is outstanding. Dinner and breakfast were great, we had breakfast on a small private terrace at our room, overlooking the vineyard (you can choose where to have breakfast). Great experience, relaxing 'no rush' atmosphere, great food, excellent wine and service.

Our host left some fresh baked breads for us in the morning which we found to be very convenient. The kitchen was dated, but complete with everything you might need. The bathrooms were modern in comparison to the rest of the house. We felt as if transported into the days of Downton Abby with all the antique furniture, and the space was enormous. The bedrooms were all large with four poster beds. Altogether a nice experience.
