I've been to quite a few self catering places this year and nothing compares to River Edge. The finer details, like arriving and the hot tub is already warm, welcome gin and tonic with a lemon, enough towels for bathing and swimming. Air fryer. Fire lighters, filter coffee.... to name a few It was the best office to work at during our mid week stay. Will recommend to families and couples

The whole place is incredible. Beautiful architecture, landscaping, interior and furniture design. The whole self-sufficiency model, including school is phenomenal and very impressive. Food and wine absolutely delicious. Service was relaxed, in a good way! Staff lovely and accommodating. Special mention to Sam, Emma and Peter… you are lovely!

Had such a lovely, peaceful stay in the Shiraz cottage. The best host, went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. From firewood to recommendations. It was quiet and private, lovely views of the mountains and close enough to Tulbagh for some wine tasting. Would 100% go back for another visit!

We had a family gathering here and it had more than enough space for us all. A room for each married couple and all the children stayed together in the hall. The kitchen had all the necessary. We also made good use of the swimming pool. But the best of all was the absolutely incredible service of Geoffrey.
